About the charity
We are a well established registered charity. We provide free complementary treatments to children and young people with disabilities, health problems and special needs.
We are based in the centre of Coventry. We offer treatment to families where it isn’t available on the NHS or is limited there. We also help families who can’t afford private treatment.
The charity's aims and objectives
Our aim is to provide as many free treatments as possible to all children who need them. We have provided therapy free of charge to children with disabilities and special needs since 1997.
We began with remedial and neuromuscular massage. We have since added Bowen therapy, physiotherapy and occupational therapy. Demand for our services has grown steadily over the years.

How Tiny Tim's started
Tiny Tim’s was founded in 1997 by local osteopath Stan Duncombe. A young family asked him to help their 6 year old son. The boy was in remission from leukaemia. He had been told he would never run again. All he wanted was to play football with his friends.
After an initial assessment Stan thought he could help. When he told the parents his fees they apologised for wasting his time and walked away. This deeply affected Stan. A few weeks later he contacted the family and treated the boy for free.
It got him thinking. There must be many families in the same position. Surely something could be done to help them. The boy went on to play football with his friends and later for his school.

The centre opens its doors
Stan was delighted when the Tiny Tim’s Centre opened. The LCSP (London and Counties Society of Physiologists) and their ERD Trust (Education, Research and Development) made a significant initial investment in the project.
An independent charity
Getting the charity up and running wasn’t easy. After much negotiation with the LCSP and ERD Trust we became an independent registered charity in January 2003.
Achieving Stan's vision
Tiny Tim’s Children’s Centre is now very well established and is achieving Stan’s vision.
Did you know?
Our massage techniques, occupational therapy and physiotherapy can’t cure these conditions. But we can help improve these children’s quality of life. We do this by reducing pain, increasing mobility, teaching coping mechanisms and building self-esteem.
Help keep therapy free.
We receive no fees from families. Every session is paid for by people like you. Give once or set up a monthly gift.
